Tofu strips - Marinated

Easiest salad in the world! and it got RAVE reviews!

SPROUTING!

Sprouting my own sprouts!!
Alfalfa and mung beans have been a staple in my diet! I have them on everything! Sandwich's, Pizzas, anything!!
- Sprouting is so important for your diet, everything about them is good.. they are top of the alkalizing food chain! +

1. Rich in Essential Nutrients

Some of the vitamins that sprouts contain include Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin K. Apart from this, it is also rich in minerals such as Iron, Phosphorous, Magnesium, Potassium, Manganese, and Calcium. As if these are not enough, sprouts also have dietary fiber, Folate, and Omega-3 fatty acids. Sprouting seeds, grains and legumes are found to have higher content of these nutrients. For instance, most beans increase in Vitamin A by eight times after being sprouted.

2. Excellent Source of Enzymes

Aside from the nutrients, they are also abundant in enzymes, which can keep our bodies healthy and fit. Cooking food under fire results in the loss of some of those enzymes. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables are the best way to get more of these. Eating fresh sprouts is a good way to get access to a powerful source of enzymes.

3. High in Protein

When you say protein, the first things on people’s minds are meat, chicken, fish, egg, and dairy products. What most people do not know is that sprouts are also very high in protein. In fact, they can contain up to 35 percent protein. Adding sprouts to your diet will give you the necessary protein intake required by your body minus the fat, cholesterol, and calories that typically come with animal meats. Sprouts are also highly recommended for vegans and vegetarians.

4. Easy to Digest

Another thing you will love about sprouts is how easy it is to digest this food. Its digestibility is rooted from the high amount of enzymes that they contain. Eating sprouts can be very helpful for people with digestive or bloating problems. They are also perfect for younger kids and elderly people.

5. Good for Weight Loss

Since sprouts are also high in fiber and low in calorie, it can contribute positively to any weight loss diet plan. Eating sprouts will let you enjoy nutrients without the extra calories. It will also make you feel fuller and stave off hunger longer. If you are looking for a way to lose weight, include sprouts in your diet.
Sprouts are beneficial to your health. Apart from that, they are also very delicious. Including them in your diet would be very easy. You can add them to your salads, soups and pasta to make them more scrumptious and appetizing. Its crisp and flavor make dishes more delicious. Now if you want to maximize their benefits even more, you can also snack on them fresh. Enzymes in most foods are lost during the cooking process.

Naughty Sunday Night in!

Here I am below praising the benefits of RAW diet and I post this! But gosh everyone needs a bad day, and this was just SO delicious.. Spent the raining night in doors snug as bug with my love, Made this pizza and finished off half these vegan biscuits in no time whilst watching Conspiracy Theory docs! ( This website is so good )

Pizza | Mountain bread
Tofu
Tomato
Mushrooms
Zucchini
Artichoke
Alfalfa sprouts
Basil! | Couldnt be easier and so delicious, just throw it in oven and cook until the crust is brown,
I'd also suggest layering the mountain bread .. Mine got a little soggy.

The Mint slice and Choculence are from a brand called Leda - These are so so good. I was a massive mint slice fan before I was vegan and these are just as good - I taste no difference - IT'S SO EASY BEING VEGAN!!

RAW FOODING!

Had a delicious bite to eat at Green Lizard Vegan & Fusion Raw Food Cafe in Kings Cross the other day! Its so awesome having a place like that around in the inner city.
Becoming 80% Raw is a goal Im looking to accomplish. It's also really hard to deny that when you eat this food, although definitely very new to your sense's, It just seems so so good for you! The more I research the Raw diet, the more I want to do it. I need a good (non) cooking class though so I feel confident Im getting the right nutrients!
Green Lizard was great, we tried 4 dishes - Dumplings, a Burger, Zucchini flowers and a cake slice w/ coconut cream too! I only have pictures of 2 dishes, The dumplings and the burger ( I always forget to take photos - Im usually way more interested in feasting!) Take a look at their page though, they are always uploading photos of AMAZING things.. and even better, just go there, be open minded - think of the benefits FRESH/ORGANIC/RAW foods are doing for you - give your body a present and sample this food! (Dumplings were my favourite)

We went to Sahaja Yoga Meditation - a free meditation place. I was pretty impressed, not only were their meditation techniques really successful and easy, the people were lovely and it was free!!
For an extra $10 you also got a delicious vegan indian meal.
This place was great and Ill def keep using their techniques.
I noticed such a difference even the day after!! Blissfull.
There are heaps of classes around sydney, free of charge.
I think this is incredible, Its so rare to find people who are doing good without gaining from it.
And something like meditation should be free!!

OH MY Mushroom AND Tofu Burger!!

OH my! - My first post and food recipe- and for good reason- THIS IS THE BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER EATEN!

And by fluke too!! It a home made copy of a burger i tried at the cult cafe restaurant in the katoomba - formally called Common Ground.
It's called the cult cafe for a reason - It's run by one.
But who cares what they preach - who or WHAT they believe in cause holy shit! they can cook.
Like seriously mind blowing- oh my god - I think Im going to die - This is out of control - kind of stuff.
They arn't a vegan cafe or even vegetarian but they have the option's and quite a few of them too.
But I have never gotten past this burger and by the time I've finished it - Im stuffed.
It's seriously so easy too.

For my version-

One slice of NutriSoy Tofu burger slices.
Tomato
Alfalfa sprouts
Mushrooms - I've tried 2 varieties and - yum yum yum yum!
KingLand Soy Mayonnaise!
Bread Bun.

You can add anything - first one i added beetroot ( my favourite ) and it blew my mind.
This burger has been force fed by my lover and I to his meat loving parents who avoid trying new things at any cost - and his dad was asking for seconds!! (Mother a little nervous but she ate every bite)
I cant wait till I go home to byron, I'll be cooking for my parents every night - force feeding them so they will try and LOVE (Im sure of it) all the dishes I've been finding and loving for my self!

For the record and because this is my first post, I'll start by letting you know, Im a new vegan!!
Vegetarian, I have been for years. But something magical happened - I found out the truth!!
And now I am 1000% vegan and loving it!! - It has been the most life changing, eye opening, experience I have ever had.
Not to mention the benefits that are already flying at me!

Im going to post throughout my blog some videos and information I find along the way,
Knowledge has been the most valuable reason for me to change my lifestyle.
And if It helps other people, then YAY!!

FOR THE LOVE OF MUSHROOMS!
